Irc is the main meeting place for me and my friends. I obviously spend a lot of time there. Most of my chat goes on in private dcc.

I have channel operator status on several channels on IRCnet such as #adsl.is, #iceland26+, #aquaria.is, #iceland30+, #iceland40+, #joko, #losti, #mp3.is #muzik.is, #nammið, #rásin, and #ÍSLAND. Of course, you are welcome in all these channels.

Lot's of people meet on irc for the first time and get to know each other, and end up in a relationship for life. However, you need to be careful and take precautions, ie. not to trust people you don´t know. Talk to people, get to know them and be careful what you say.

Don't give out any information that might harm you or other people, don't get fooled by someone trying to offer you a better life somewhere else. People have done this and ended up in disappointment or worse. You can also meet a lot of interesting and funny people there, this "virtual" world has a lot to offer when used in a right and proper way.
